Toxic shock syndrome was first identified in 1978 and there has been a lot of discussions after that time.
This syndrome originates after toxin is released by certain bacteria like streptococcus pyogenes and in some cases by staphylococcus aureus.as a result of interaction of toxins with our immune system many problems arise while our immune system is trying to control it which can end up in toxic shock syndrome.
Now a days infection by streptococcus is spreading in Japan after it lifted covid restrictions in 2023.
There is an unprecedented rise in its cases even resulting in deaths as its fatality rate is 30%.
Some people especially with weak immune system can have a peculiar problem of damage to soft tissue called Necrotizing Fasciatis.
